It's @Aprilyim !

I meet April few months back (not in April) when she did an Ad-hoc visit to Singapore (She's from MY), and little did I know she is suppose to be some popular blogger in MY. If I've not mistaken, she raise to fame with her "SeptSocial" event where guys can sent in application form to ask for a date with her ! Interesting enough, she is definitely a part of my Internet Studies Case Studies !

I wish I could sign up for the "SeptSocial" but too bad for me as I didn't qualify for the event as she actually has a clause on the form which says she do not date attached man, but nevertheless I organize a little Tweetup with the rest of the tweeps to Mamboooo !!!

Why mambo you ask ?

1. It's ladies nite - Free for ladies thus I do not need to pay for the lady ( I feel the obligation to pay for ladies when out together.)- Cheapo Me.

2. Mambo is like an icon for the clubbing scene. I mean I'm sure many around the world has heard the song " Never Gonna Give You Up" but how many knows how to dance to it the "Mambo Nite" Style ?

3. I am a Mambo Sucker Myself ! I am just giving myself another excuse to be there !

Hit Me Pitstop 1 more Time !

Pitstop Cafe - The 4th Anniversary party was held on 16th Dec 2009 (Wednesday. Time really flies, it seems like yesterday when I 1st visited the place with only a few board games,tables,chairs,4 young staff and a very interesting looking menu. I still remember what caught my eye for the very 1st time was their menu. It was so interesting till the point where you have to guess what you MIGHT get after you ordered.I can only vividly remember their lambchop was known as "The Lamb Chop Sings Along"

The place has given me lots of good memories, from being a customers to a regular to a staff and a friend. Many meetup like forum meetup and secondary school meetup and birthday parties were held there. Friendships were forge not only with crew but even with customers. From a very clean wall to a wall full of smiles and memories.



The Man who made all these possible - Weekee. ( I always thought his blog will be so cool if he calls it the weekeepedia. = P

Everything with Fries

WTF ! I actually done blogging this post and i dunno what happen the post was left with half when publish. I have to like retype the whole thing again.. OMG

This post is actually meant for SGFoodieClub but for some reason the dashboard is down. Thus I am blogging at my own blog.

My buddy has got something new to intro once again.I actually blame him for all the weight gain. He is the man who introduced me - Ashtons, Popeye Chicken, Udders, Waffle Town, Gelare Tuesday and many more which I can't recall. Anyway, this time round "Everything with Fries !"



The Man I Blame ! He is really the man, always intro good food and free transport summore ! And his intro is never wrong ! but he is the skinny one while i am the fat one. !*@&%!&@

So the thing about 'Everything with Fries' as the name suggest, everything with fries. So how do we go about doing it ?

For the Fries you can actually have it in many different ways.

Original
Curry
salt and vinegar
sour cream and onion
garlic and herbs.

It comes in shoestring and straight cut too !

P.S : Shoestring is the skinny one.

And lastly -



So the offering is actually pretty wide range.



The Highly Recommended "One Egg Soup" - a very interesting fried egg on a cream of chicken soup. Taste is very rich but I felt the soup is too little.



My h00t - Pork Cutlet Sandwich with Sour Cream and Onion Fries and Coleslaws - $8.90 only ! The Fries is really nice but the sandwich is just normal IMO.The bread is a little dry for me but Ah Dum and Keong felt it's tasty in a way.



This is the devil ! Nutella Tart ! Super rich in taste and A MUST TRY ! $4.90 Only !



Nutella Crepe, not as rich as the tart but it taste realllly goood too ! It's like popian skin with nutella.$5.90 = P



Nutella Milkeshake ! very very nice ! but i prefer vanilla milkshake , I guess it's a me thing. price - forget liao ! = P

We had more Nutella in a night than in a year man !

Broadway Beng

I have always been a fan for Singapore Production as well as Musical and this is like one of those 2 in 1, A Singapore Musical. Very very singapore, very very local.. very very vulgar !

I have no clue what broadway beng is like before this although this is it's 4th installment. All i know was Sebastian Tan is a very good singer and he was very very entertaining in the musical Sing Dollar.

I went for broadway beng thinking that it's going to be like sing dollar where there is a main storyline and we just walk thru this storyline with dancing and singing but I was wrong.

BB consist of Dancing, singing and even stand up comedy and boy am I surprise Sebastian was really very funny !

Other than all these fun and laughter, I felt that BB was really meaningful. He talked about doing broadway or doing "ge-tai" the hokkien kind. To him it's doesnt matter as both are something he like and enjoy.

In my point of view,some pple might find it's very LC to be singing all the hokkien song or very chi-chong but I felt that BB manage to give it a whole new life. It's like what BB said, everything can be art, it's a matter of how you look at it. If u appreciate it, that's art. It's not always that we have to be speaking French and reading Shakespeare to make you a high class arty farty one, you can find your own identity in many different ways too !

I wish i could catch Kurma's show next year but I don't suppose i can afford the tickets larrr !!

So people who think you are highclass and look down on others, please think again.

Happy Wedding !

I so foresee more blog post on such topics. i suppose we are all at the age of "ready to get a family".

You gather to talk about toys and entertainment when you were younger, maybe sports when at the age of teens and more on the bees and butterfly at young adulthood. As for now the inevitable topic is always about house, HDB, marriage, stockmarket, car pricing, that's such a sign of ageing. DAMN IT !

The wedding was held at world's end - at least to me, it was at raffle marina club. Although not some high class hotel but the ambiance was really good too. I was there as a guest as well as helping out with some logistic matters. Must apologize I was a lil snappy as it was some last min task and there was no briefing and no proper planning. Yes, it sucks to work with me when it comes to events, I am a perfectionist in that field.

but den again I am glad they ask me to helping - meaning the trust is there !

I miss quite a bit of the starting of the wedding, like the entrance and vow taking but boy am I glad i didn't miss out on the beer and food !

Put things in perspective.

Rule 8.10 from "The Rules Of Work" by Richard Templar

"When all is said and done, it is only a job. It aint't your health, your love life, your family, your children, your life or your soul. If, by the way, it is any of these things then you really have gone badly wrong along the way.

Your job is just a job. Yes,I know you need the money etc., etc. But it is JUST a job and there are others.

Having a bad day at work shouldn't cause you to:

- lose sleep

- go off your food

- lose your sex drive

- smoke more

- drink more

- take drugs

- be more irritable

- get depressed

- get stressed.

But you'd be surprised how often these things are done by people because they have had a bad day. Yes, they may have had a whole series of bad days. But taken one by one , it is just a bad day. You have to learn to switch off, relax, not take it so seriously, enjoy it more , put things into perspective.

Get a hobby, get a life. You must work to live, not live to work. Don't take stuff home with you - learn to be assertive and say no. Put your family first. Spend time with your children - they will grow up so fast you will miss their previous childhood if you work your way through it - believe me I have seen my children grow up and it is so swift it is terrifying. It may seem slow and stressful at the time, but it zips past and then is irrecoverably gone - and you missed it because you were doing paperwork of an evening or attending another boring bloody conference at the weekend.

It is just a job. "

i am not sure how much of the above article that i understand is right. Did Richard just ask us to take it easy or did he just ask us to be not that responsible to our job? Did he said all that because he did or that or did he say all that cause he did the otherwise and felt that it should be done this way. If it's so, would he be less successful a person if he did the above ?

I have been stressing myself alot lately, yes alot. Not by my boss, not my gf not my mom. ( did I subconsciously mention all the 3 important woman in my life? - as of now at least)

- I am stress about not having enough money to get myself back into school.

- I am stress about my upcoming HDB, wedding, renovation, ROM, buying the perfect ring.

- I am stress about my work, which I shall not say too much about as I understand there are people out there reading and I do not wanna get myself into trouble. ( see, even when i post something i feel so stress.

- I am stress about not having my class 3 license yet and I know, I blame this on others as well cause everyone just keep asking me and i do not understand why the whole world just think that class is a fucking compulsory in life? If u seriously want me to have it, GIVE ME THE MONEY TO DO IT.

- I am stress over savings and I am so turn off I do not even have the mood to spent anymore.

- I am stress over the point that I do not want my kids to stress over the same things as I am stressing over now - I have a happy family but I still blame my dad for not being able to put me in a safe zone like some rich kids who can just complete their half fuck studies, get into uni, get a class 3 and even a car all covered by their parents. Trust me, with all these in hand these people are still asking for more and going emo over other stupid things. Yes I am jealous and I am very very jealous about rich kids.

- I felt that I am losing myself, I am not doing things I like to and I am doing things to make others happy or in another words like how @junnie247 put it, a betrayal to your dearest self.

- I can't help it but things are just running in my head and I felt like an under achiever all over again.

- I have hobby, in fact hobbies but I am not good at any of them and I just got my ankle injured again. I guess I might stop playing basketball soon.

My Biggest Buy Of My Life !

I was on leave yesterday but I woke up 6am in the morning ! Why you ask me ?

We woke up early and took bus 28 to ? - Toa Payoh HDB HUB!!!

YES !!! We were there to buy my biggest buy of my life (so far)! HDB !!!

The Buy

There is actually a forum for this BTO thing and I was actually told to look for the machine to register but so happen it was down on the day and we had to enter sales room 181 to get the registration done.

Saw the other couples walking around and still looking at the model and deciding which unit to get. The feeling is so sweet and so exciting ! It's like everyone is moving forward to the next step of our life together !



Ah Dum looking all serious listening to the HDB service staff. I must really give credit to him. He knows the process very very well and manage to ans all our queries and go through all the documents with us slowly and in very clear details. Thumbs up to him !



Smile but still look stress.. must be because of the 20 odd thousands dollar of down payment, but thanks to CPF we do not feel the real pain !!! I LOVE CPF !!! PAP FTW !!!



The Happy Ah Dum and Ah Fat ! And you must be wondering who took the picture ? Yes ! It's the idiotic lil'sis of mine. We manage to get her up and went out with us,but of course she got her benefits too - Free Movie and Dim Sum Buffet Lunch !

So excited about getting the house, lots of planning to do next ! The proposal, the ring buying, the ROM, the wedding, the renovation.. omfg..

oh yes yes yes, we got our HDB confirm before the proposal and everything.. what to do ? BTO takes 5 years leh !!!
